A San Francisco Treat

Part of our Christmas present from my parents was a day in San Francisco. It was so much fun to explore such a beautiful together. We literally walked our feet off but enjoyed every moment of it! We started the morning off by taking the BART to Powell St and then jumped on a bus and headed to the Golden Gate Park and California Science Museum.

Powell St and Union Square

Want to go for a swim?

The park is gorgeous and huge - we kept getting lost on all these trails :)

T-Rex and Garlan

Evolution of man - need I say more?

The live roof top

They have this neat glass tunnel in the aquarium that made you feel like you were in the water.

My favorite - an albino alligator!

After the science museum we headed out of the park and towards the northeast end of San Fran. We rode the bus part of the way and then decided to walk and walk and walk and walk.

It's hard to see with the shadows but I just love the architecture found throughout this city.

Garlan loves old churches - this one is on USF's campus

This picture doesn't do this straight up road justice - it felt like climbing a mountain!
The top of the "Crooked Street"

Alcatraz island
Ghirardelli Square - loved the free samples :)
Maritime Park and Pier
Golden Gate Bridge is behind us
The infamous trolley

Pier 39
Pier 39

Enjoying Boudin clam chowder and sourdough bread......yummy!

Warming up my hands

From the Pier we walked up to Telegraph Hill and then down to Chinatown

I love my husbands ten million different expressions!

After Chinatown we walked to Union Square, did a little shopping, got our favorite chocolate smoothie from Coffee Bean and headed back to Michelle's on the BART. It was a fantastic day! We can't wait to go back to visit again.
