Crazy Christmas Fun

On Friday we had our cute primary class over for a Christmas party. We teach the four year olds and a month ago in class we mentioned the possibility of a Christmas party. Oh boy did that cause quite the commotion! Garlan and I quickly learned that at 4 these kids can remember EVERYTHING! Each week in class they asked when were we going to have the party and they would sit and plan the things they would bring and games we would play. I tried to get to their mother's first and warn them but didn't succeed. So we finally found a day and time that worked for everyone. It was SO MUCH FUN! We have 4 kids in our class: Aurelia, Emily, Barry and Boston. There are some crazy moments but for the most part they are attentive and super cute.

After they all arrived (we also had Sadie from upstairs come down and join us even though she's almost 3) and we ran around the house dancing to Christmas music for a little while, then we pulled out the craft stuff and made ornaments to give to their parents. When that project was done each kids designed their own pizza. There was only cheese and pepperoni toppings but their excitement made it seem like they had 50 toppings! The pizza went in the oven and we all sat down for a movie. Now choosing a movie took some compromising because they all had different likes and dislikes. We settled for The Grinch and Madagascar 2 (my favorite). They inhaled popcorn and pizza and actually sat still for over an hour!

After the movie they played "Monster" with Garlan for about 45 minutes. I LOVE watching him with kids! He is so good with them and it makes me very excited to see him as a dad one day.
