After months and months of waiting (drum roll please)............we finally have our home!
It has been just over 6 months since we first looked at this home and placed an offer on it. We found that 'short sales' should be called 'really long and obnoxious sales'. We held out (even when it went into foreclosure) and with the help of a great realtor and lots of prayer it became our home on October 22, 2011.
Now we are just unpacking, dejunking, organizing, decorating and spending too much money! Luckily my second trimester energy boost has kicked in and the nausea has left. Garlan is amazing as he becomes this 'handy man' building things and fixing little odds and ends. We have learned A LOT about each other during this whole house buying adventure and my love and appreciation for him just keeps growing and growing.
Although we love our new house and the area we are in, we sure miss our friends and neighbors! They are only a few miles away but it's just not the same when they aren't right next door or across the street. And I can't even describe how much we will miss our old ward!!!! Luckily they haven't released us from our callings so we told them to take their time and we will keep coming until they replace us.
A big THANK YOU to our friends and family who came and helped us move! We couldn't have done it without you (mainly because Garlan got mad at me if I lifted anything heavier than a milk jug - which I did so he got mad a lot). We love you all and are so grateful to have such good people in our lives. Here are few pictures of our new home. Once we get the inside all put together I'll put more pics up.
