This is my favorite time of the year! It's not because of all the holiday sales and treats (although those are perks) but for time spent celebrating our Savior and what He has given each of us. Of course we should be giving thanks each day for the gift of the Atonement but I love having this time to really reflect and appreciate on what really matters most. Garlan and I spent time the last couple weeks talking about our many blessings, especially those that have come this past year. Here are just a few......
1. Expecting our first child - baby Emma Kathryn McCoy!!!!!!!
2. Buying our first home (which we waited and fought for over a 6 month period!)
3. Celebrating our first Anniversary together!
4. I studied hard and passed my CCRN (top accreditation for an ICU nurse)
5. Garlan working hard, moving into being over finance and being promoted with raises!
6. Going to Cali and Washington several times to spend lots of time with family - not to mention all the visitors we had come and stay with us in our apt and new home.
7. Going to Puerto Rico and on our first cruise together last Feb and enjoying the blue waters of the Caribbean.
8. Being a Ma & Pa on our Stake Trek and getting to study, appreciate and learn more about our family ancestry.
9. Being a part of family weddings, blessings and baptisms!
10. Finishing the Doctrine and Covenants as a family (we read the BoM our first year and now on to the New Testament!)

We are so blessed and can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!
