Labor Day in Zion's

What a fantastic Labor Day weekend! Garlan and I rented a very luxurious cabin in Zion's National Park with three of his brothers and their families. It was so much fun to be with some of our favorite people for four whole days. I never can get enough of my wonderful sister-in-laws, hilarious brother-in-laws and cute nieces and nephews.

Friday G and I arrived a little early to the cabin. We hiked around, went rock and antique shopping in town and took naps (I just love naps these days). The rest of the crew arrived late afternoon and the party got started right off the bat. Brooke and Jason came all the way from LA with their 5 kids, including their new 2 1/2 month old Ivy - we couldn't kiss her cheeks enough! Brandon and Cori came with their 5 kids from Las Vegas and Darek and Amberli came Saturday with their two kids. Of course we ate lots of good food, played lots of games and got a lot of sun.

Saturday we went into the little town of Orderville where we took the kids to a rock shop, ate ice cream and swam for several hours. Then it was back to the cabin for the BYU vs Ole Miss football game. Even though my nieces and nephews aren't blood related to Spencer they cheered for him like he was their brother. They could spot him on the field faster than I could! It was definitely a nail biter game and thankfully we pulled out with a win so we could continue to smile the rest of the night.

Sunday we went to Zion's Ponderosa Ranch for the day. It was a very fun day spent mostly at the pool and their rec barn. I think we all came home a little pink/red that night despite the use of sunscreen.

Monday we slept in and then packed up. It was really sad to leave knowing we were going to be parting ways. Driving through Zion's on the way out we stopped multiple times for little photo ops and to hike around. Next time we go down there we want to do a nice long hike to really see everything. In St. George we all stopped at Red Robin's for lunch - this turned into a very long ordeal since their kitchen was behind. It took over an hour to get our food, let's just say we ended up eating a lot of fries and the manager comped some of our meals. After eating we did a little shopping and then said our goodbyes.

We missed everyone the moment we drove away! Thanks for the best Labor Day Weekend ever! We love you all.
