Come Follow Me

The church came out with a new home and Sunday curriculum. Basically we follow the same lessons at home as will be taught each week. It brings most of the teaching of the Savior and doctrine back into the home. I love it but it has been tricky to figure out how to engage the girls. Our lessons as a family are short as usual but the other night was the first time I felt like they were working. Two things happened.
1. The first was overhearing Sophie telling my mom over facetime about our lesson early that day. This is basically how it went..... "Grandma did you know that Jesus had a cousin like I do with Ayla? This lady named Elisabeth had a baby in her tummy and it was jumping around. Then she pushed baby Jesus out of her tummy!" I was just so excited she got about 50% of it right. lol

2. The second happened a few nights later. I came home from running errands and Emma had made this sign and glued it to our window (yes glued :/).

She told me these rules will help us be more like Jesus!
"McCoy Family Rules"
Be nice. Listen. Go to bed on time. Love one another.
Read the scriptures. Pray.
Pick up after yourself.
Wipe, Flush, Wash
