Emma Kathryn

Emma started preschool this week. My neighbor Natalie isn't teaching this year so we are both sending our girls to a neighbor down the road. So far Emma is loving it.  She is also doing dance again and is playing soccer. The first couple of games she was a lot more into it but now she is done after a few minutes and just wants her treats and to rest her "tired" legs. It's still more social than competitive for her right now.
She really is a bright ray of sunshine! She is 4 1/2 years old going on about 16. She loves dressing up, make up, make overs, high heeled shoes, running, riding her bike, being with her daddy, helping her mom, playing with her sisters and friends, going on hikes, ninja turtles (thanks to her dad and aunt Cori) and anything that is pink or purple and sparkles.
She is very energetic and likes to keep busy. Every day/night asks "what's after this nap" - meaning "what are we doing tomorrow?" She is passionate about life and with that comes high highs and low lows when she is tired and hungry or can't play with friends. She has a fantastic memory and a wonderful imagination.
She loves baking with me and has gotten very good and cracking eggs. Her favorite thing to make is "pupcakes" (cupcakes) and frosting.
She is awesome with Bella and plays great with Sophie about 75% of the day. They play pretend but also love to chase each other and wrestle. They also LOVE when daddy comes home. Who doesn't?!?
Her best friend is still Uncle Spencer and Grandma Hadley. She would gladly go and live with my parents if we would let her. Or at least go for a long visit.
One of my favorite phrases that she uses is "alsoly" example: "That dress is pretty but I alsoly love that other one." Another one is "pretty kinda...." example: "This sandwhich is pretty kinda big." or "My legs are pretty kinda tired."
When people ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she says a doctor or nurse like her mommy. Of course that makes my heart happy!
