There is no better way to celebrate this country's freedom and independence than with friends and family (and of course lots of food). Garlan's brothers Brandon and Darek and their families came from Las Vegas and his parents and sister came down from Salt Lake to spend the day/weekend together. We went to the Rec Center on Friday and played in the water. On Saturday morning Michelle, Amberli, Kenzie and her roommate and I ran the Freedom Festival 10K and then all the guys went and played basketball at the church for several hours. We did a big BBQ in the afternoon and then hosted our annual neighborhood 4th of July party with fireworks.
