Thanksgiving in Vegas

We had so much fun with our McCoy families in Vegas this Thanksgiving. We wish everyone could have been there but we still enjoyed getting to visit and play with 1/2 of Garlan's brothers and sisters. We left mid day Wednesday and drove the 5 hours with little to no problems with Emma. She was a champ on the trip both ways. Thank goodness for a dvd player in the car! Not sure how my parents managed road trips without the entertainment we have today.
This trip we got to stay at Marschell and Paul's new house. They were the perfect host and hostess and their house is big and beautiful. We even got to try out the hot tub which put G in heaven. :)
Thanksgiving day dinner was at Amberli and Darek's house. The guys played flag football in the morning, we ate lots of yummy food in the afternoon and then us sister-in-laws got a little crazy and did some Black Thursday shopping. We ended up only going to Old Navy since we had to wait in line to pay for our awesome deals for 2 hours! It would have been miserable if we hadn't of had each others company to talk and laugh during the long wait.
Friday was basically Thanksgiving #2. Cori's family was also in town so they were with them Thursday and us Friday. We went to their gorgeous new home in the afternoon and ate another turkey with all the trimmings. It was so fun and very delicious. I'm so happy for them and their new house that has more room for their growing family!
After two days of heavy partying and eating we made Saturday more of a chill day. The guys played ball in the morning and then went out shooting and got to drive around on Paul & Mar's 4 wheeler, motorcycles and dune buggy. G was like a little boy on Christmas morning. Emma and I met up with the rest of the moms and kids for a little while at Pro Bass Shop to look at the cool fish. Then I took her back to Mar's house for her nap while I watched football and took a nap. It was wonderful. That night Marschell and Paul hosted another delicious dinner with his yummy bbq.
Sunday we had to say our goodbyes and head home. We stopped in St. George to look at the temple and run around outside and inside the vistor center. It was the perfect way to end such a wonderful vacation. I was reminded of what I'm truly grateful for - my growing little family and all of our extended family and that we are all sealed together forever!
