My parents and Pat came into town for Conference weekend and for the full week after for a visit. It is heaven on earth for the grand-kids - actually for all of us!
Recap of all the fun adventures........
Friday - They drove down Thursday and stayed at Michelle's and then came down to Provo Friday morning for BYU Football Alumni day. They watched Matt practice and then the girls and I met up with them on campus for the post practice Alumni lunch and fun. The girls played on the bounce toys, got their faces painted and ran around the practice field. We had lunch from JDawgs and got our free t-shirts before heading to Chloe's track meet at UVU.
Emma especially loved watching Chloe jump - I think we have a future track star in her :)
After the meet my parents took Emma back up to Michelle's with them for a sleep-over.
Saturday- G and I did some yard and house work in the morning and during the first GC session and then headed up to Michelle's to join the family. My mom had brought down tons of Easter eggs and hid them in Michelle's yard for another egg hunt. We had lunch and watched the second session all together while the little ones napped. The weather was great so after the session and during priesthood session we took the kids to the park to fly kites and run around.
Sunday - G and I took the girls to his parents house to sleep Saturday night and then had breakfast and watched the first session of conference with them. Sophie and G stayed there to nap while I took Emma back over to Michelle's so she could play with her cousins. The rest of Sunday consisted of family, food and conference. The weekend was fun and uplifting!
Monday - We had come back home because I had a dr's appt. in the morning. After my appointment we headed up to the zoo and met up with Michelle and kids, my parents, Pat and Cherise and Ayla. We spent all afternoon running around the zoo until they were worn out. Emma and Sophie were asleep in the car before I left the parking lot!
Tuesday - We stayed up at Michelle's overnight and then took the kids to a fun park in Daybreak on Tuesday. While the kids napped my mom, Michelle and I went and did a little shopping.
Afterwards I took my girls over the Sharla's house to visit with her and my sister-in-law Erin since she was here from Arizona for a few days.
Wednesday - My mom went to G-ma and G-pa Clyde's for a visit. My dad stayed with us and the girls and I took him to feed the ducks and then to BYU campus to meet up with Matt.
Wednesday night all of us girls and my mom (except Shandy because she had to work) went out to dinner together.
Thursday - I had to work :( but my parents took the girls and met up with Michelle and Cherise at Thanksgiving Point.
Friday- Michelle and her crew came down to our house and we played here in Springville. The boys all left for a hiking and camping trip in the late afternoon while us girls kept the kids here and had a girl's night.
Saturday - Cherise, Mom and Michelle hosted a "Sprinkle" (aka casual shower) for me at my house. Shandy had to work and Chloe had a track meet but it was fun to have other family members and friends come and visit. They did a yogurt parfait bar with sweet breads.
The guys got back late afternoon and we all just hung out here and visited until it was bedtime. Mom and Dad headed back up to Michelle's so they could get on the road to go home Sunday morning.
It was a week full of fun and family love!
